Netgallery respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains which personal data may be processed through this website, why this happens and which rights you have.
Data controller
The controller for personal data processed through Netgallery is Marnix Van Marcke – Netgallery, Belgium. For privacy questions, personal-data requests or the exercise of your rights, please use the contact form on this website. Further contact details can be provided through that form if necessary.
What data do we process?
When you use the contact form, we process the information you provide, in particular your name, email address and message. Depending on what you include in your message, it may also contain other personal data.
Why do we process this data?
We use this information solely to receive, answer and, where necessary, follow up on your message. Contact-form data is not used for commercial purposes and is not sold or rented to third parties.
Legal basis
For responding to a contact-form request, processing is based on taking steps at your request and, where applicable, on our legitimate interest in handling incoming enquiries and correspondence correctly. Google Analytics is based on prior consent.
How long do we keep data?
Messages and related personal data are not kept longer than necessary to handle the enquiry or correspondence and any necessary follow-up, unless a longer retention period is required or justified by law.
Google Analytics
Netgallery uses Google Analytics 4 only after you have given prior consent. Without consent, Google Analytics tags are not loaded. After consent, Google Analytics may process information such as visits, sessions, browser and device information and approximate geographic location. Google describes these data in its own documentation. The Analytics implementation on Netgallery does not use a Google Ads integration.
Vimeo
Some films on Netgallery are provided through Vimeo. Vimeo is loaded only after you explicitly click a video thumbnail. No Vimeo player is loaded before that click. Once loaded, Vimeo may process data under its own privacy policy.
Who may receive data?
Contact-form personal data is shared only where necessary to handle your message, provide technical services or comply with a legal obligation. Google Analytics and Vimeo process data under their own terms once the relevant interaction described above takes place.
Technical processing and hosting
The website is hosted by an external hosting provider. To operate, secure and technically manage the website, technical information such as IP address, timestamp, browser information and request information may be processed in server logs. Netgallery does not use these data for commercial purposes; retention follows the technical and legal requirements of the hosting service.
Security
Netgallery uses HTTPS and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and website data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your privacy rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Please use the contact form.
Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority if you believe your personal data is not being processed correctly. We recommend contacting us first so that we can address your concern.
Further information
More information about cookies and consent is available in the Netgallery cookie policy. For external services used on this website, you can also consult their own privacy information.
